Spicy Coffee Is Here To Stay

When we first invented Roasty Buds Spicy Coffee, a lot of people called it a novelty. They said we were "crazy" or just trying some kind of gimmick. Of course, that was before they realized we use some of the best coffee in the world AND our head roaster has 25 years of experience roasting specialty coffee.

The result wasn't some fly-by-night coffee fad. With our Ghost Pepper, Hatch Chile and Carolina Reaper Coffee varieties, we've created a new flavor profile in the category, and our repeat customers are a testament to the great taste and balance of our coffees. It was even featured in the Hulu documentary "Superhot: The Spicy World Of Pepper People."

We start each small batch of our spicy coffee with direct-trade beans from farms in Colombia that our roaster has actually visited personally to ensure a top-notch product and farming practices. Then we use our state-of-the-art Giesen Roaster to roast the beans to perfection. Finally, we infuse each variety with spicy extract.

The result? A premium, flavored coffee. That isn't the norm! Usually flavored coffees start with commercial-grade beans that are over-roasted to mask any faults in the beans themselves. We don't do that.

But don't take it from us, check out the reviews on our Ghost Pepper variety, for example. As you can see, we're doing our best to create a quality, unique product that we hope even the most selective coffee lovers can enjoy.
