"What coffee should I buy?" And Other Common Coffee Questions

One of the best aspects of enjoying coffee is enjoying even more of it. More styles. More varieties. More origins. More than three cups a day???

And then the questions...

"Should I try whole bean or ground?"

"Colombia or Tanzania?"

"Flavored or unflavored?"

The list of options is endless. Here at Roasty Buds, we would of course recommend you try all our varieties, from our wonderfully curated Fancy Espresso Blend to our wildly popular Mexican Chocolate Coffee. It's our site and blog, after all. Obviously we recommend our own coffees!

In the spirit of helping you find your next favorite coffee, we've compiled a list of which varieties to try based on what you like or are looking to explore. If you have any other questions about our coffee, email us at info@roastybuds.com and we'll try to steer you in the right direction.

As always, we also offer a 50% one-time discount on your first order (code First50 at checkout). We're that confident you'll enjoy it and buy a second bag or pod.

The Big List Of Coffee Questions To Help You Decide Which Coffee To Buy!

What coffee should I buy if...

  • "I like Starbucks Verona." That means you'd be interested in a multi-regional dark roast blend. Our Fancy Espresso fits the bill and is also a specialty-grade blend, vs. traditional "mass" coffee. Give it a try for espresso, pour-over or drip!
  • "I like Dunkin' Original." Got it. A medium-roast blend. We think it would be worth trying a medium roast single-origin, like our Colombian variety.
  • "I like chocolatey coffee." Mexican Chocolate Coffee is the answer!
  • "I want strong coffee for cold brew." Medium and dark roasts are the most popular (not "best" but most popular) options. Typically light roasts aren't ideal for the cold brew process. But this one is very palette-dependent.

"Best coffee for French press." We recommend a medium or dark roast single-origin. Our Colombian would be a nice one to try. Also here are some tips on grind size and prep!

"Coffee similar to Cafe Bustelo." Espresso.

"Coffee for people who like Folgers." Um, not sure we can help you there...but...

"Flavored coffee that doesn't have artificial dyes or flavors." We have that in whole bean or pods.

"Zero sugar flavored coffee"

"New Keurig flavors I've never tried before."

"Spicy coffee"
